Belgrade City Tour & River Cruise
Full Day guided tour of Belgrade, to explore the capital city of Serbia – one of the oldest cities in Europe, After breakfast we transfer to the Vračar plateau, where we’ll see one of the most important sights of Belgrade – Saint Sava Temple, one of the biggest orthodox temples on the Balkans. In the vicinity is located the National Serbian Library. Continue further to the city center and Slavija Square, St. Mark Church and the Serbian Parliament Building, Republic Square, the National Theatre and National Museum. A walk through the always lively Knez Mihailo Street, main walking and shopping zone, on our way to Kalemegdan, we will visit the Congregational Church.The tour will end at Kalemegdan, the most important cultural-historic complex of the city. In the Kalemegdan Park, on the confluence of the rivers Sava and Danube, the Belgrade Fortress raises proudly, and is the witness of the tumultuous history of this ancient city. Belgrade – Topola and Oplenac Hill 1.5 hrs – Belgrade
Morning transfer to the small town of Topola, where we will visit the Karadjordje’s Konak and the old church, a place where Djordje Petrović -Karadjordje, one of the most important characters in Serbian history, lived and from where he started the First Serbian Uprising, a war against the Ottoman invaders. We will climb to the Oplenac hill, a beautiful green area covered with wood, where is located the St. George church, built in the 20th century, as a house of prayer for all the members of the Serbian Royal family. The church has Byzantine style, with five domes and completely covered with white marble. The interior of the church is a spectacle of colors and light, with lavishly decorated marble floors and colored glass mosaics. A surface of 3 500m2 is covered with more than 40 million peace of tiles, in more than 15 000 shades of different colors representing the most extensive gallery of copies of Serbian medieval fresco paintings in one place. We’ll also visit Petar’s House, the Museum of the Karađorđević family, palace, Royal vineyards and the Winery. Next we enjoy some wine degustation and visit of the cellars. In the afternoon return transfer to Belgrade. Overnight in Belgrade.

Belgrade – Krušedol Monastery – Sremski Karlovci – 2021 European Capital of Culture Novi Sad 1 hrs – Petrovaradin Fortess – Subotica
This morning we transfer towards Vojvodina region, one of the most panoramic sites of Serbia, to visit 2 of the most beautiful cities of the region: Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci. Along the way we stop in the Krušedol Monastery. Then we take a sightseeing in Sremski Karlovci, which feels like a ‘museum town’ with its Baroque centre, the Patriarchal Court, the Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas and the first Serbian secondary school (gymnasium). It is also famous for wine production and the town’s annual Wineball festival.
We reach Novi Sad, the 2021 European Capital of Culture, where we enjoy the walking tour in the city center, passing through The City Hall, The Cathedral, Assembly of Vojvodina, shopping zone with restaurants and coffee-shops.We continue to visit the Fortress of Petrovaradin, the so-called ‘Danube’s Gibraltar’, where the fortress is located. At the fortress, we will see the clock tower, old fortress walls, and have great views over the Danube, including the many bridges spanning the river.
In the afternoon we visit the city of Subotica, where we spend also the overnight. A major cultural center in Vojvodina and one of the most beautiful cities in Serbia, Subotica was even the capital of a fairy-tale-like empire in the 16th century.
Through its long history Subotica often changed its rulers, countries and names. It has changed over 200 names, and has been under the governance of Hungarians, Turks, Serbs, and it was included in both Habsburg and Ottoman Empire, and then Yugoslavia. Subotica is a city with a rich culture and also religious tolerance; as it hosts museums of different cultures and religions.
The city has one out of total three active synagogues in Serbia, a Protestant church, numerous Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches, as well as a newly built mosque.

Subotica – Art Nouveau in Szeged – River Cruise in Budapest (Hungary)
This morning we leave Serbia and transfer to Hungary. The first stop is the city of Szeged, the third biggest city in Hungary.
City tour of Szeged to enjoy its Art Nouveau attractions. We will see the main attractions, The New Synagogue, which is the fourth biggest synagogue in Europe, The Water Tower, the Reök Palace built in 1907, and other similar Art Nouveau palaces through the city.
Further we transfer to Budapest, where we will spend the next overnights.
In the afternoon we enjoy a river cruise through the Danube where we see the most fascinating sights of the historical city of Budapest.

During the tour we see the highlights of our city: Heroes’ Square/Millenary Monument, Vajdahunyad Castle, Andrássy Boulevard, Opera House, St. Stephen’s Basilica-interior visit, House of Parliament, panorama-view from Gellért Hill, Castle Quarter, Matthias Church-interior visit, panorama view from the Fishermen’s Bastion. Visit the Market Hall, possibilities for shopping Hungaricums.
Special lunch in the castle, with folk show live music. Visit of the castle overlooking the city from above.
Further we spend the afternoon at the New York Coffee – Considered as the most beautiful coffee in the world.

Budapest – Szentendre – Budapest
Today we travel to Szentendre, a charming Baroque town with cobble stone streets, with an armada of art galleries, quaint little museums, cafes, and excellent shopping.
We will walk along the main shopping street of Szentendre where you may wish to visit the Margit Kovacs Ceramic Museum, which houses a unique collection of the late artist’s best creations. Unlike most ceramic galleries, the Kovacs collection offers mostly earthen figures and genres that bring the rural traditions of Hungary to life, full of humor and candid observations. After the museum visit, enjoy the excellent shopping, the many galleries and quaint cafes before returning to Budapest.
