Serbia is an interesting destination for agro tourism groups, providing different agricultural spots, in its different regions.
Vojvodina District, in Northern Serbia, is the one of the best areas, famous for its rich agricultural soil and proud history of farming. Up 84% of its territory is a fertile agricultural land.
There are about 128,465 agricultural households in Vojvodina and the region is known also for the lowest usage of fertilizers and pesticides in Europe. Corn is the most dominant plant in Vojvodina.
Another interesting area is the Western Serbia, famous for the cultivation of berries, fruits, wine, nuts, large frozen industry, and its landscapes with mountains and rivers. This part of the country is often called as “Serbian Toscana”. Serbia Agro Tour.

Arrival Belgrade, Sunset River Cruise and Welcome dinner
Arrival in Belgrade and transfer to the hotel in the city. In the afternoon we enjoy a River Cruise that will provide a different perspective of Belgrade, from some of the hidden areas on the river. Welcome dinner will be organized in a local restaurant at the Bohemian quarter called Skadarlija, with live music and traditional menu, for a better introduction to Serbian culinary and traditions.
Belgrade – Mushrooms Production & Smerderevo Fortress – Belgrade city tour
This morning we visit a mushrooms production facility, located 1 hour drive from Belgrade, a small town called Kovin. This is the first mushrooms farm in the Balkans, has 53 mushroom growing rooms and produces 25 tonnes of mushrooms per day at a high quality. Later we enjoy a cultural visit of Smederevo Fortress, a medieval fortress, on the shores of the river Jezava and Danube, which started to be built in 1428. In the afternoon return to Belgrade, for another dinner and overnight in the capital city.
Belgrade –– Pome Fruits and Nuts Cultivation – Vineyards and Wine Tasting – Novisad
Today we transfer towards Vojvodina, one of the most important agricultural regions in Serbia; where we will spend the next three nights
Along the way we stop in a village where we can visit a cultivator of pome fruits and nuts. The farm produces apples and raspberries. We visit the fields, see the production, packaging and we can even pick some berries.
Further we enjoy a Wine tasting experience in Sremski Karlovci, the “Baroque City” on the slopes of mount Fruska Gora and the right bank of the Danube – one of the most important spiritual and cultural centers of Serbia. We visit the vineyards and cellars.
In the afternoon we reach Novi Sad, the 2021 European Capital of Culture, where we enjoy the walking tour in the city center, passing through The City Hall, The Cathedral, Assembly of Vojvodina, shopping zone with restaurants and coffee-shops. We continue to visit the Fortress of Petrovaradin, the so-called ‘Danube’s Gibraltar’, where the fortress is located. At the fortress, we will see the clock tower, old fortress walls, and have great views over the Danube, including the many bridges spanning the river.
Dinner will be organized in a beautiful old style restaurant with amazing view over the Danube on one side and Petrovaradin fortress above. Overnight in Novisad.
Novi Sad – Poultry breeding – Growing of cereals, legumes and oil seeds – Novi Sad
We spend a full day in Novi Sad with 2 visits. One of the farms grows chickens and cultivates walnuts and hazelnuts, the other is a producer of cereals, legumes and oil seeds. Both farms are located nearby Novi Sad so we have also a free afternoon to spend in the old town of Novi Sad, where we can enjoy some raki tasting in the local bars on the pedestrian street. Novisad –Sugar beet production – Breeding gilts – Novisad
Today we drive for about 1 hour towards North, and visit to other farms. One grows sugar beet and the other is one of the best pigs and gilts farm in the region. After the visits, meetings and getting engaged in the daily farm works, we return to Novi Sad for another dinner and overnight.
Novisad – Stara Pazova – Crops production, pig fattening – City Tour of Belgrade
Today we return to Belgrade to finalize this tour of North and Central Serbia. Along the way we see the Crop production including breeding of all major field crops: wheat, corn, soybean, sunflower, rapeseed and sugar beet, using the latest machinery in agricultural production. In the afternoon we continue with visits of Belgrade, which might have remained from day 1. Afternoon to explore the capital city of Serbia – one of the oldest cities in Europe. We’ll see one of the most important sights of Belgrade – Saint Sava Temple, one of the biggest orthodox temples on the Balkans. In the vicinity is located the National Serbian Library. Continue further to the city center and Slavija Square, St. Mark Church and the Serbian Parliament Building, Republic Square, the National Theatre and National Museum. A walk through the always lively Knez Mihailo Street, main walking and shopping zone, on our way to Kalemegdan, we will visit the Congregational Church. The tour will end at Kalemegdan.
